LATEST NEWS See the Summer Dance schedule and download the Registration Form NEW MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP AT PDC!!! Hello to the family and friends of PDC, I wanted to let you know about a change that is taking place at the studio. I (Lucille Sparrazza) have decided to turn over the management and ownership of Perinton Dance Company to a very talented and highly motivated individual. This new owner is looking to maintain the current operations that are working well and use this opportunity to make a few improvements along the way too! It has been a fun filled seven years and it is now time to have this exciting tradition to continue with someone new running the show. Good luck to all of you and keep on dancing!! Lucy --------------------------------------------------- To the students/families & friends of PDC: We are VERY excited to welcome you to our All Stars Talent, Inc. "family." This new collaboration has many wonderful new opportunities for students and staff in both locations, along with keeping up with everything that you are currently enjoying. Our plan is to keep ALL staff at PDC & AST with their current hours/classes (plus possibly a few new ones). The Perinton Dance Company name will remain. PDC will become a division of All Stars Talent, Inc. We will be keeping all of PDC's pre-planned competitions, performances and recital dates/venue the same this season (and may be adding a few additional performances as well). The wonderful staff at PDC is working with us to keep this transition as smooth as possible. We are now (and will continue to) meeting and talking with the PDC staff to share ideas and suggestions to help make PDC even better! We plan to add additional opportunities for students at PDC (that are currently offered at All Stars Talent) including: voice lessons, piano lessons, Kindermusik (for ages newborn - 7 yrs), Pilates for Dancers, Master Classes with guest professionals & more. In the future, we also plan to add Drama Kids International and our Creative (music based/academic) Preschool and other new offerings to PDC as well. We will continue the strong training that PDC offers along with some new and fresh ideas to help the students/studio continue to develop & grow. We currently working on some major cleaning, painting and some other upgrades to make the studio better. We will be converting the downstairs room (currently used for storage) into a music room with fresh paint, carpet, a piano and other equipment. My husband, Jay LeClair has a Music Degree and is the current voice/piano instructor at AST. He will be offering these options to PDC students beginning in February. Our family also owns and operates the Colonial Belle in Fairport (1989-present), I volunteered as the Entertainment Chairperson for Fairport Canal Days from 2003-2008 & we live in Pittsford/Perinton which makes the location of PDC the perfect choice for our second location. We really enjoy the community of Perinton/Fairport. We are planning an Open House/Meet and Greet at PDC in the very near future. (More details to follow.) A quick background on AST and The LeClairs: (For more info visit www.AllStarsTalent.com under "Instructors") 1980 Tammee takes her 1st dance lessons at Janet Holmes School of Dance 1981-1982 Tammee takes dance lessons at Michele Buschner School of Dance 1983 Tammee moves to Dianne Lynn Dance Theatre & adds Private Dance Lessons 1984-1996 Tammee is a member of the DLDT Competition Group 1989 Tammee begins student teaching at Dianne Lynn Dance Theatre 1989 The Poinan Family opens the Colonial Belle business 1992 Tammee begins as a primary Dance Instructor at DLDT 1990 Jay LeClair begins Private Voice Lessons at The Eastman School of Music 1995 Tammee becomes a Sr. Deckhand/Manager of Colonial Belle 2000 Tammee & Jay get married 2000 AST is born with 7 students in the Tammee & Jay's home 2000 Jay graduates with a BA in English (with grades 7-12 NYS Teaching Cert) 2002 AST out grows the house & rents space at a ballet school on East Ave 2003 Jay graduates with a BM in Music Education (with grades 7-12 NYS Teaching Cert) 2003 AST buys out DLDT & merges into the DLDT location on Winton Road 2006 Madalynn LeClair (Tammee & Jay's daughter) is born 2007 AST moves to a brand new larger location on Jefferson Road 2008 AST develops "Creative Preschool" an academic/music based Preschool program 2009 AST purchases PDC Please contact me directly with any questions, concerns and/or ideas that you may have.
